This semester I want to challenge myself to create. I use lighting to emphasize the textures in each work. My display extends past the wall to further dismiss the “traditional” paintings. To have full creativity, I use nontraditional materials such as spackle, tile grout, sand, and pantyhose. On each painting I use a random generator to choose which tools I utilize; some of the tools I use are plastic spoons, straws, rocks, and coasters.
